ZincNyx Energy Solutions Inc.: Zinc-Air Fuel Cell for Renewable Energy Storage

ZincNyx Energy Solutions, Inc. was awarded $250,000 under the Alberta Innovates Energy and Environment Solutions (AI-EES) "Next Generation Energy Storage Technologies" initiative in 2014/2015 to enhance the development of ZincNyx’s zinc-air fuel cell and prioritize the development of larger systems for deployment in Alberta’s micro-generation systems.

The system is expected to help eliminate the variability and unpredictability inherent in renewable energy sources such as wind and solar and provide consistent clean energy.
